It’s been over nine years since the New England Patriots<\/a> completed their historic comeback vs. the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.<\/p>\n

The Patriots’ shocking victory was back on the mind of ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter late Wednesday night though, as he compared the New York Knicks’ 29-point comeback<\/a> against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals to New England’s triumph.<\/p>\n

“The Knicks wiping out the Spurs\u2019 29 point third-quarter lead was the NFL equivalent of,” Schefter posted on X, along with a side-by-side image of Tom Brady before and after the Patriots’ win.<\/p>\n

It’s impossible to really compare any NBA game to an NFL contest, but if one has to, then New York’s comeback and New England’s stunner isn’t a bad place to start.<\/p>\n

The Knicks’ made NBA history on Wednesday with the biggest comeback in Finals history and are now one win away from their first title since 1973.<\/p>\n

The Patriots trailed the Falcons 28-3 in the third quarter of Super Bowl LI before scoring 31 unanswered points to defeat Atlanta in overtime, 34-28.<\/p>\n

New England’s comeback still stands as the largest in Super Bowl history and that record could remain intact for a long time.<\/p>\n
