He might be 12 years old, but Brampton rapper Cairo Snow has already appeared on stage with the Wu-Tang Clan and won a $10,000 prize in a song battle competition with connections to superstars like Jay-Z, Post Malone and Megan Thee Stallion.<\/p>\n
The up-and-coming performer from Brampton started writing at age 7 and was a contender for the America\u2019s Top Hitmaker competition last year, and was pulled on stage at the Scotiabank Arena during the Wu-Tang Clan\u2019s \u201cThe Final Chamber\u201d farewell tour.<\/p>\n
And building on last year\u2019s success, Snow was recently crowned champion of the Mic Madness competition, where he won a $10,000 prize.<\/p>\n
Created and hosted by industry experts Chris Tyson (who has worked with Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, and Post Malone) and Rel Carter (Director of Artist Partnerships at Roc Nation and nephew of hip-hop superstar Jay-Z), the song battle went through multiple rounds of intense competition, with Snow facing off against \u201cincredible talent twice his age,\u201d agency DD Entertainment said in a release.<\/p>\n
Snow won the contest with his version of the track \u201cAlphabet Aerobics\u201d by Blackalicious, which runs through all 26 letters of the alphabet from A to Z with each verse getting faster than the last.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cThis victory places him among a select group of rising global artists recognized by some of the music industry\u2019s most influential voices,\u201d the agency says.<\/p>\n
Snow will get studio time working with Tyson and Carter, and a trip to New York City as part of the prize.<\/p>\n
And riding the high after his win, Snow is set to release his new single called \u201cTechnical Control\u201d on June 17.<\/p>\n

Snow has had airplay on international radio airplay across Canada, USA, Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Italy and St. Lucia.<\/p>\n
