A popular immune-support supplement has been recalled<\/a> over fears some bottles may have fermented.<\/p>\n

Certain 60ml and 350ml bottles of Drink Purple, manufactured by Mama Nayture Pty Ltd and sold in health food stores across NSW<\/a> and Queensland<\/a> as well as online, have been recalled, the NSW Food Authority announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The recall was prompted by unintended fermentation, which may cause the products to taste sour, appear fizzy or release pressure when opened.<\/p>\n

The NSW Food Authority warned the affected products may contain excess alcohol and carbonation, which could cause illness or injury if consumed.<\/p>\n

The affected products are from batch number 23716 and have an expiry date of May 30, 2027.<\/p>\n

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to drink or open them and to dispose of them safely.<\/p>\n

Those unsure how to safely get rid of the products are encouraged to contact Mama Nayture for advice.<\/p>\n

Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.<\/p>\n

The recall comes just a week after two other supplement products were pulled from shelves<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nature\u2019s Own Glucosamine Sulfate with Chondroitin (320-pack) and Nature\u2019s Own Magnesium Glycinate 1150mg (300-pack) were recalled over concerns some bottles may contain glass fragments.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a risk of users being cut when handling the product, and it could also be harmful if accidentally swallowed,\u201d the Therapeutic Goods Administration said. <\/p>\n
