Historically, Garcia is represented by Oscar de la Hoya and Golden Boy, whereas Benn was a longtime Matchroom Boxing athlete until <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/zuffa-boxing-news\/423455\/video-devastated-eddie-hearn-reacts-to-zuffas-shocking-conor-benn-signing-claims-boxing-war-with-dana-white-will-be-long-misjudged-his-character\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he walked away from Eddie Hearn<\/a> earlier this year. Perhaps Garcia\u2019s announcement was premature, however, as his representation has an issue with Garcia competing for Zuffa Boxing or on Paramount.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">The official Garcia vs. Benn announcement was expected to happen at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-white-house-2026-fight-card-start-time-full-results-dana-white-conor-mcgregor-cbs-mma\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UFC White House<\/a> card on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">Per a report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxingscene.com\/articles\/de-la-hoya-golden-boy-issuing-cease-and-desist-letter-to-zuffa-paramount-alleging-ryan-garcia-interference\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boxing Scene<\/a>, Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions have issued a cease-and-desist notice to Dana White\u2019s Zuffa Boxing, TKO Group Holdings, Paramount, and Saudi Arabia\u2019s Sela, accusing them of improperly interfering with WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">The letter alleges that Golden Boy has not been consulted at all in the financial dealings of this possible bout. It also states that Garcia is obligated to compete on DAZN, not Paramount.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cGolden Boy has not approved of or agreed to the terms of any such [Benn] bout, nor has Golden Boy been involved in the negotiations of any such bout,\u201d the letter written by Golden Boy Promotions attorney Ricardo P. Cestero reads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cAccordingly, Golden Boy hereby demands that you immediately cease and desist from any negotiations or discussions \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">\u201cI\u2019m hearing rumblings and rumors,\u201d Oscar de la Hoya said on Tuesday. \u201cNobody\u2019s talked to me.
