This can be done in one of two ways:\u00a0by supporting the 2026 Night Light Golf Tournament or\u00a0by sitting on the organization’s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

Marie and Algoma District is inviting community members, businesses, and organizations to get involved in two important ways: by supporting the 2026 Night Light Golf Tournament and by considering service on the organization’s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n Night Light Golf returns on Friday, Aug.\u00a014, 2026, at Silver Creek Golf Course, offering a glow-in-the-dark fundraising experience unlike any other in the region. This unique nine-hole best ball tournament brings together businesses, community organizations, and residents for an evening of fun, networking, and community impact.<\/p>\n Participants will enjoy glow golf, appetizers, prizes, team competitions, and a late-night snack while supporting a program that helps keep communities across Algoma District safe through anonymous crime reporting.<\/p>\n Night Light Golf is one of the charity\u2019s most anticipated fundraising events of the year. Every registration, sponsorship, and donation helps ensure that Crime Stoppers can continue providing a safe and anonymous way for people to share information that assists investigations and prevents crime.<\/p>\n With a limited field of teams available, Crime Stoppers encourages interested golfers to register early. Businesses and organizations are also invited to participate through sponsorship opportunities that provide valuable community exposure while supporting public safety initiatives.<\/p>\n Crime Stoppers operates without guaranteed operational funding. Funds raised through Night Light Golf directly support anonymous tip reporting, rewards, public awareness campaigns, and crime prevention initiatives throughout Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District.<\/p>\n In addition to fundraising support, Crime Stoppers is actively seeking new members to join its Board of Directors. The organization is looking for dedicated individuals from communities throughout Algoma District, including communities as far north as Hornepayne and as far east as Algoma Mills, Spanish, Serpent River, and Spragge.<\/p>\n Serving on the Board of Directors offers an opportunity to help guide the strategic direction and governance of Crime Stoppers while supporting public safety initiatives across the region.<\/p>\n Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, willing to undergo screening and a background check, and able to contribute approximately five to ten hours per month.
