There are barely a couple weeks left in the summer transfer window, and Chelsea need to jettison about a dozen or so players, either on loan or, preferably, on permanent transfers.<\/p>\n
But that doesn\u2019t mean that we\u2019re going to have our proverbial pants pulled down over the price, as Borussia Dortmund apparently found out today, when we knocked back their \u201cinsulting\u201d offer for Carney Chukwuemeka. That\u2019s according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, who also reports<\/a> that the offer was a loan with a \u20ac20m obligation, plus a \u201cheavy\u201d sell-on clause.<\/p>\n In fairness to BVB, that\u2019s not too far from the numbers (in absolute terms anyway) that were thrown around last week, when it was said that we were \u201cwilling to compromise\u201d for a fee (or obligatory clause) of around \u20ac25-30m.<\/p>\n Chelsea supposedly have fielded transfer offers from other teams, too, but from where I sit, it sure looks like Dortmund are the only realistic option for Carnz.
