A 27-year-old Brampton man is facing drug trafficking charges after police seized an estimated $40,000 worth of fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone during an investigation in Cobourg.<\/p>\n
The arrest followed an investigation conducted by the Cobourg Police Service\u2019s Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau.<\/p>\n
On June 10, police, assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team, the Belleville Police Service Canine Unit and uniform patrol officers, stopped a vehicle in Cobourg, a community located about 100 km east of Toronto along the north shore of Lake Ontario.<\/p>\n
During the investigation, officers seized approximately 68 grams of fentanyl, 135 grams of cocaine, oxycodone pills and multiple cellphones.<\/p>\n
Police estimate the street value of the drugs at approximately $40,000.<\/p>\n
As a result, Shiloh Cherebin, 27, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, related to fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone.<\/p>\n
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.<\/p>\n
Police have not released any additional details about the investigation.<\/p>\n
