{"id":732421,"date":"2026-06-12T17:36:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T17:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/732421\/"},"modified":"2026-06-12T17:36:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T17:36:09","slug":"surrey-police-make-arrest-after-two-alleged-bank-robberies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/732421\/","title":{"rendered":"Surrey police make arrest after two alleged bank robberies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it has arrested and charged a man after two alleged bank robberies earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>Police say they received a report of a robbery at a bank near 104 Avenue and King George Boulevard just before 11 a.m. on June 6.<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, also around 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of another bank robbery, this time near 128 Street and 96 Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>In both cases, a man allegedly threatened staff, saying he had a weapon, and was able to depart with money, the SPS said in a release.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries were reported in either incident.<\/p>\n<p>A suspect was identified and arrested on June 9, police say.
