Kingston\u2019s Resolve Counselling Services Canada is celebrating a successful Walk for Wellness campaign, which raised more than $16,000 in support of local mental health services.<\/p>\n

According to a release from the organization, the event took place at Lake Ontario Park on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and brought together individuals, families, organizations, and local partners to support accessible counselling and wellness services while building awareness and connection across the region.<\/p>\n

Funds raised through this year\u2019s event will stay in the community and will help provide more than 150 counselling sessions for individuals and families across Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A), increasing access to critical mental health support for those who need it most, Resolve detailed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly grateful to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, and supported this year\u2019s event,\u201d said Stafford Murphy, Executive Director of Resolve Counselling Services.<\/p>\n

\u201cRaising more than $16,000 means more people in our community will be able to access counselling and mental health support. The Walk for Wellness reflects what\u2019s possible when our community comes together to invest in wellbeing and ensure no one has to face challenges alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Resolve Counselling Services provides a wide range of programs including individual, family, and couples counselling; child and youth programming; support for those experiencing intimate partner violence; developmental disability services; financial wellness programming; and specialized supports for survivors of trauma, according to the release. As a registered charity and a member agency of the United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, Resolve is committed to making mental health services accessible to all, the organization stated.<\/p>\n

In the release, Resolve extended sincere thanks to everyone who participated and to the event\u2019s generous supporters. Special recognition goes to Gold Sponsors KEYS and Fusix for their continued commitment to strengthening mental health and wellness in our community.<\/p>\n
