He was removed early from the 7-4 victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/player\/gabriel-rincones-jr\/1318771\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/player\/gabriel-rincones-jr\/1318771\" target=\"_blank\">Gabriel Rincones Jr.<\/a> was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Garcia, 33, is in his first season with the team, signing a one-year, $10 million deal after being designated for assignment by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/texas-rangers\/237\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/texas-rangers\/237\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Rangers<\/a>. In 67 games, he was batting .195 with 45 hits, seven home runs, 21 runs batted in and an OPS of .599 over 231 at-bats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A native of Ciego de Avila, Cuba, Garcia is in his eighth big league season. After making his big league debut in 2018 with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/st-louis-cardinals\/248\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/st-louis-cardinals\/248\" target=\"_blank\">St. Louis Cardinals<\/a>, he spent five seasons with the Rangers where he was a two-time All-Star and won the World Series in 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Phillies (37-31) sit second in the National League East, eight games behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/atlanta-braves\/239\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/atlanta-braves\/239\" target=\"_blank\">Atlanta Braves<\/a>.
