In his petition, Nick\u2019s lawyer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/06\/08\/nick-reiner-wants-trust-fund-money\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">demanded<\/a> the money to distribute the cut he was owed when he turned 30, two years before he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2025\/12\/15\/rob-reiner-son-nick-in-custody\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">allegedly murdered<\/a> his parents in their L.A. home.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"continued\" class=\"continued-anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Nick\u2019s lawyer claimed the trustee could not even confirm whether the payment was made &#8230; \u201cThere is no reason \u2026 the trustee should not yet know whether half the trust was distributed two years ago.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"js-click-image js-track-link image-lightbox-preview\" data-node-ref=\"tmz:image-asset:image_jpg_20251215_10309edd530d4d6798815233bcc52ee3\" data-container-ref=\"tmz:article:d2f3bed2-167c-4c59-95dd-de801e2868a8\" data-context=\"{&quot;section&quot;:&quot;permalink&quot;,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;image&quot;}\"><\/p>\n<p>                          <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/10309edd530d4d6798815233bcc52ee3_md.jpg\" alt=\"Nick-Reiner-sub-getty-1\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" class=\"img-fluid image-block__img-fluid img-aspect-auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition, Nick\u2019s lawyer claimed the trustee told her that an investigation needed to be done to determine whether the \u201cTrust requires or leaves to the trustee the discretion to make a distribution at age 30.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not sure what you are investigating,\u201d the letter read. Nick\u2019s lawyer said the trust was set up with clear instructions \u2026 and said Nick\u2019s money needed to be turned over ASAP to help him hire a criminal defense lawyer.
