\n\tRonnie Schell<\/a>, the versatile actor known for his comedic work in \u201cGomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.\u201d and \u201cThat Girl<\/a>,\u201d died Friday in Los Angeles of natural causes, his publicist confirmed to Variety. He was 94.<\/p>\n

\n\tKnown for his work in film, TV and on stage as a comedian, the San Francisco native amassed over 140 credits over the course of his decades-spanning career.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe is perhaps best remembered for his run of \u201960s shows, from starring in 92 episodes of \u201cGomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.\u201d as Duke Slater to three episodes of \u201cThat Girl\u201d alongside Marlo Thomas. During that time period, he made appearances on \u201cThe Patty Duke Show\u201d and \u201cThe Andy Griffith Show.\u201d He co-starred with Goldie Hawn on \u201cGood Morning World.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSchell\u2019s career as a performer started after auditioning for San Francisco\u2019s Purple Onion nightclub while he was still a senior at San Francisco State University. He also enlisted in the Air Force.<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyond his on-screen work, which included roles in \u201cFatal Instinct,\u201d \u201cThe Devil and Max Devlin\u201d and \u201cThe Revenge of the Red Baron,\u201d Schell was known as a voice performer for \u201cCat from Outer Space,\u201d \u201cJetsons,\u201d \u201cRover Dangerfield,\u201d \u201cBattle of the Planets\u201d and \u201cGoober and the Ghost Chasers.\u201d Additionally, he was credited as a dialogue coach on 1984\u2019s \u201cAll of Me,\u201d directed by Carl Reiner.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis most recent appearances included the TV shows \u201cSee Ya\u201d and \u201cKaplan\u2019s Korner.\u201d He also starred in the musical comedy \u201cDon\u2019t Leave it All to Your Children!\u201d<\/p>\n
