Are the New England Patriots<\/a> the best team in the NFL following their trade for star wide receiver A.J. Brown<\/a>?<\/p>\n

According to DAZN\u2019s Jason Abbey<\/a> in his 2026 NFL Power Rankings, the Patriots<\/a> are the sixth-best team in the league heading into next season.<\/p>\n

The Patriots have a wide receiver tandem of A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs<\/a> that is capable of combining for close to 2,000 receiving yards next season. New England<\/a> also has a much stronger offensive line, headlined by star guard Alijah Vera-Tucker and rookie offensive tackle Caleb Lomu.<\/p>\n

New England\u2019s defense is comparable in strength to their unit from last season, with three-time first-team All-Pro safety Kevin Byard<\/a> in for Jaylinn Hawkins<\/a>, and Dre\u2019Mont Jones<\/a> at edge rusher in place of K\u2019Lavon Chaisson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With a much stronger offense and a formidable defense, the Patriots are in line to be Super Bowl contenders in 2026. They have the strength to come out on top in the AFC once again and win the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.<\/p>\n
