Hugh Jackman<\/a> has reportedly been at odds with his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness<\/a>, since their 2023 separation. Much of the speculation around their ongoing drama centers on Jackman\u2019s new relationship with his The Music Man co-star, Sutton Foster<\/a>, amid constant rumors of an affair. Both parties have denied any overlap, but tensions have continued even after Jackman and Deb finalized their messy divorce in 2025.<\/p>\n

However, it seems Jackman\u2019s attitude toward his ex-wife is shifting. In a June 12 report from Globe<\/a>, a source claimed that the Deadpool & Wolverine star now speaks very highly of Deb. \u201cHe keeps talking about what a great wife she was and the incredible job she did raising their kids,\u201d they revealed. \u201cHugh\u2019s got her up on a pedestal again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source claimed that Jackman\u2019s shift followed months of \u201csoul searching,\u201d with the actor realizing \u201che could have handled things better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking back, he can understand why Deb was so angry about the way everything unfolded and why she felt blindsided,\u201d the source added. \u201cThe more ownership Hugh takes for all the pain Deb went through, the easier it is to see things from her side.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Jackman and Deb appear to be moving toward a better place, Globe reported that Foster finds Jackman\u2019s renewed praise for his ex-wife upsetting. \u201cHe\u2019s gone from being quite combative to praising her, which really is not going down well with Sutton,\u201d the insider explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving to listen to Hugh sing Deb\u2019s praises is demoralizing for Sutton,\u201d the source said. \u201cShe\u2019s got to be wondering why Hugh is suddenly so focused on his past when they\u2019re supposed to be concentrating on their future.\u201d<\/p>\n

This development comes after previous reports that Jackman was blaming Deb<\/a> for his and Foster\u2019s alleged isolation in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

\u201cHugh\u2019s becoming increasingly angry over the feeling that more and more people in Hollywood are quietly turning against him,\u201d a source told Globe<\/a> in May 2026. \u201cHe blames Deb for it 100% and says there\u2019s been a steady drip of poison behind the scenes from her and her camp.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackman\u2019s also convinced that close friends like Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, and Nicole Kidman<\/a> are \u201cditching him for Deb.\u201d At the 2026 Met Gala, Kidman allegedly avoided interacting with Jackman and Foster, as she\u2019s \u201cfirmly Team Deb,\u201d per Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, and believes Deb was \u201cdeeply hurt\u201d by the way her marriage with Jackman ended.<\/p>\n

\u201cNicole isn\u2019t interested in pretending otherwise just because Hugh showed up with a new woman on his arm,\u201d a source told Shuter\u2019s Naughty But Nice Substack. \u201cDeb\u2019s \u2018betrayal\u2019 comment was not forgotten in Hollywood.
