Seattle was on a  six game skid but they were able to pull it out with a near buzzer-beater by Ezi Magbegor, breaking the Dream\u2019s streak in a 80-78 defeat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/WNBA-Canada-Game-Miss604-photo-12.jpg\" alt=\"WNBA Canada Game - Miss604\/Bollwitt Photo\" class=\"wp-image-204677\"  \/>WNBA Canada Game \u2013 Miss604\/Bollwitt Photo<\/p>\n<p>Light \u2018Em Up Vancouver<\/p>\n<p>Swin Cash and Vancouver Park Board Chair Laura Christensen were joined by basketball players from the Girls Who LEAP organization at Ceperley Park Playground this week to officially reveal the first of five local courts painted with the WNBA 3-point line in the WNBA\u2019s iconic Fire Orange.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vancouver is the first Canadian city to host \u201cLine \u2018Em Up\u201d, following U.S. locations in New York and Indianapolis.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than a line, it\u2019s a symbol for visibility and inclusivity,\u201d said Phil Cook, WNBA CMO.\u00a0\u201cThe City of Vancouver has embraced women\u2019s sports, and through the WNBA Canada Game and this legacy initiative, we can\u2019t wait to bring the WNBA closer to its Canadian fans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The WNBA 3-point line has been painted at the following five Vancouver outdoor courts:<\/p>\n<p>Stanley Park \u2013 Ceperley Court<\/p>\n<p>Hastings Community Park<\/p>\n<p>Gaston Park<\/p>\n<p>Kingcrest Park<\/p>\n<p>Queen Elizabeth Park<\/p>\n<p>A dedicated Line \u2018Em Up <a href=\"https:\/\/lineemup.wnba.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">website<\/a> allows fans, parkgoers, and community leaders to learn more about the program and locate painted courts in their own neighbourhoods.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Toronto Tempo to Play in Vancouver<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, Toronto Tempo Team president Teresa Resch and GM Monica Wright Rogers announced that the Tempo will play two games in Vancouver during their first season in the WNBA. The Tempo are one of two new teams entering the WNBA next season, coming in alongside the Portland Fire<\/p>\n<p>Stay on top of the league updates and events by following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/wnba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">WNBA<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/wnbacanada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">WNBA Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an exciting time for women\u2019s sports in Vancouver!
