\n Iran\u2019s top security official warned Sunday that Lebanon is central to Tehran\u2019s regional security posture, saying any breach of the Islamic Republic\u2019s \u201cred lines\u201d would not be tolerated.\n <\/p>\n
\n Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, secretary of Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council, wrote on X that \u201cthe unity of the fronts has created a security chain in defense of the region.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cLebanon is our lifeblood, and any violation of the Islamic Republic\u2019s red lines will not be tolerated,\u201d he added.\n <\/p>\n
\n Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also said in a post on X on Sunday that Israel \u201cwill never be able to isolate and corner any part of the Resistance\u2019s pillars,\u201d in an apparent reference to the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe powerful diplomacy of Iran will guarantee the sovereignty and territorial integrity of beloved Lebanon, and will put an end to the Israeli regime\u2019s madness and warmongering,\u201d Ghalibaf, Iran\u2019s chief negotiator in the talks<\/a>, added.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cCarry on, and we will too,\u201d Ghalibaf wrote.\n <\/p>\n \n The Iranian officials comments came after US President Donald Trump earlier Sunday urged Israel <\/a>not to strike Lebanon as Washington and Tehran negotiate a memorandum of understanding related to the war.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cThis morning\u2019s attack on Beirut should not have happened,\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social. \u201cParticularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
