In the first trailer for the new Netflix movie, Greta Lee and Wagner Moura play a couple trapped in their home with their two children. They are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/StLfJr4jnDs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bored in the house and they\u2019re in the house bored<\/a> (and scared). In fact, everyone in the world is trapped in their homes with rapidly dwindling supplies, but the doors won\u2019t even open. Even if they did, there\u2019s something terrifying outside, so they probably shouldn\u2019t even bother trying to, say, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/ted-sarandos-movie-theaters-outmoded-netflix-wb\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">go to a movie theater<\/a>. We don\u2019t really know yet what it is out there, but it vaguely conjures up Stephen King\u2019s The Mist.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Last House comes from director Louis Leterrier, who most recently directed Fast X and is currently at work with that series\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avclub.com\/vin-diesel-announces-fast-xi-2028-release\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">11th installment, Fast Forever.<\/a>\u00a0 Leterrier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/tudum\/articles\/the-last-house-trailer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told Tudum<\/a> that he drew inspiration from Steven Spielberg\u2019s Amblin movies, opting to use practical effects wherever possible and shooting the first half of the film on 35 mm. (Why they stopped shooting on film halfway through remains to be seen.) Beside Lee and Moura star Gabriel Barbosa, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Riley Chung.
