The Canadian soared to second place in Sunday\u2019s Enduro World Cup, his career-best EDR result.<\/p>\n<p>To do so, the B.C. racer battled some brutal conditions in Lenzerheide, with heavy mud making an absolute mess of some very rooty Austrian trails.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s Elly Hoskin and Rodger\u2019s sister, Geza Rodgers, both finished inside the top 10 of the elite women\u2019s race.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/MTBWS-LEOGANG_UCI-Enduro-World-Cup-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-142996\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/MTBWS-LEOGANG_UCI-Enduro-World-Cup-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Lief Rodgers\" width=\"1538\" height=\"1024\"  \/><\/a>Lief Rodgers tames Lenzerheide roots on the wild Priority Vanth. Photo: WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series<br \/>\nA career best result with a new team<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so happy, it\u2019s my best-ever World Cup result,\u201d Rodgers said after the finish. That was a big turn-around for race day, the Canadian added. \u201cI wasn\u2019t feeling super confident after practice. But I kept it upright all day, I had some really sketchy moment, but I kept it upright. I\u2019m really stoked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rodgers couldn\u2019t unseat S\u0142awomir \u0141ukasik (Yeti\/Fox Factory Race Team), who takes Sunday\u2019s win. With that, last year\u2019s overall champ earns his first World Cup win of 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/unnamed-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-142946\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/unnamed-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/><\/a>WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, 19-year-old Winnifred Goldsbury stormed to a stunning win in the elite category.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo win my first Elite World Cup here means so much to me,\u201d said Goldsbury. \u201cThis is where I won my first Junior World Cup. Coming back here and doing that well is crazy for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s overall champion, Ella Conolly takes second while M\u00e9lanie Pugin finishes third.<\/p>\n<p>Canada\u2019s defending world Champion, Elly Hoskin, followed close behind in fifth.
