(Photo: Region of Peel)<\/p>\n<p>Upgrades to local water infrastructure will help the city meet its provincially-mandated housing numbers \u2013 an annual target that Brampton hasn\u2019t hit in years.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Ontario passed the More Homes Built Faster Act in a push to see municipalities across the province add 1.5 million homes across the province within 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>Brampton\u2019s target was set at 113,000 new units \u2013 a number that the city said was more than triple what had been planned in the city for over the next decade.
