\n\tAsked by a fan today on Trevor Noah\u2019s World Cup Watch Party whether there would be an Austin Powers 4<\/a>, Mike Myers<\/a> responded simply, \u201cyes.\u201d He did not elaborate further.<\/p>\n

\n\tMyers has long said he\u2019d be interested in another sequel, but been noncommittal about whether it would actually happen. He has said he\u2019d like such a film to focus heavily on Dr. Evil.<\/p>\n

\n\tFranchise director Jay Roach told Deadline<\/a> of a fourth film in 2020: \u201cI wouldn\u2019t say \u2018never\u2019 never, but it does depend on Mike having something that he\u2019s inspired about and after all these years it hasn\u2019t quite clicked yet. But I\u2019m always game for anything he wants to do. He\u2019s a genius and he helped me get started and it was a blast.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNew Line\u2019s Austin Powers movies have collectively grossed well over half a billion dollars worldwide and, of course, become cultural touchstones. It\u2019s been more than 20 years since the last installment, Goldmember, in 2002. The films have spawned endless imitations, parodies and spinoffs, such as this week\u2019s Verizon commercia<\/a>l featuring Myers and co-stars Seth Green, Mindy Sterling and Rob Lowe. <\/p>\n
