A 44-year-old male has been charged for several counts of robbery and theft after a string of retail thefts and robberies to a number of commercial businesses within Winnipeg.<\/p>\n
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crime Unit opened the investigation in May of 2026.<\/p>\n
During the investigation, officers determined\u00a0that a man was linked to these events, including the following:<\/p>\n
\n\tOn May 1, 2026: A man attended a retail business in the 100 block of St. Anne\u2019s Road and stole merchandise valued at $40.
\n\tOn May 20, 2026: A man attended a retail business in the 2500 block of Main Street and stole merchandise valued at $80.
\n\tBetween May 21, 2026, and May 26, 2026: A man entered a retail business in the 200 block of Henderson Highway twice and stole merchandise valued at $130 and threatened staff with a knife.
\n\tOn May 24, 2026: A man entered a retail business in the 1200 block of St. Mary\u2019s Road and stole merchandise valued at $1,800.
\n\tBetween May 26, 2026, and June 9, 2026: A man attended a retail business in the 800 block of Leila Avenue twice and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.
\n\tOn May 29, 2026: A man attended a retail business in the 1500 block of Regent Avenue West and stole merchandise valued at $80.
\n\tOn May 29, 2026: A man attended to a retail business in the 700 block of St. Mary\u2019s Road and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
\n\tOn June 4, 2026: A man attended to a retail business in the 400 block of St. Anne\u2019s Road stole an undisclosed amount of cash and threatened staff with a knife.\u00a0

Retailer’s security cameras captured all of the incidents, before being reported to the police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The combined total loss by all retailers is estimated at under $5,000.<\/p>\n
The male suspect was located on June 15, 2026 near Salter Street and\u00a0Partridge Avenue. He was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old male has been charged with six counts of robbery, five counts of disguise with intent, and four counts of theft under $5,000.<\/p>\n
