According to the REM website, there was an outage between Bois-Franc and Anse-\u00e0-l\u2019Orme stations at 2:13 p.m., expected to last until 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s outage tracker, more than 32,000 addresses in Montreal were without power as of 2:30 p.m., but that number had dropped by more than half within the next half hour. At 3:30 p.m., only 8,000 Montreal addresses were still without power.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLightning triggered protection devices on the electricity transmission network in the west end of Montreal, leaving nearly 30,000 customers without power, including Montreal Airport and the REM light rail system,\u201d Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec said in a statement. \u201cOur teams are working to restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation. Thunderstorms still ongoing in southern Quebec could cause further outages, and we have mobilized all necessary teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is a breaking news story.
