Netflix instead gave the slot to David Fincher’s “The Adventures of Cliff Booth”.

Fincher reportedly wasn’t even seeking a major theatrical release and seemingly doesn’t care much about one.

Adding to the mess is that Skydance Animation is behind the film, and ongoing tensions between Netflix and Paramount/Skydance have left neither side eager to invest in a major theatrical push.

It’s frustrating for the filmmakers as the movie reportedly received high test scores at a recent Arizona screening even as there have reportedly been struggles over the film’s runtime and rating.

Sam Rockwell stars as the titular Ray Gunn, a hardened private detective and the last human in a galaxy populated by alien beings, who becomes drawn into a complex mystery. Scarlett Johansson co-stars.

Previous articleWagner Moura Is The “Oceans” Prequel Villain

Next articleSecond Trailer: “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”

Netflix, Skydance Animation “The Iron Giant” and “The Incredibles” director Brad Bird’s upcoming animated feature “Ray Gunn” has…

[27
112110,49,48,75,337
post-743733","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-movies","tag-bigslider","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-entertainment","tag-movies
["GET
