His ERA rose to 7.06 and his record dropped to 1-8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Painters, ESPN\u2019s 27th-ranked prospect in all of baseball entering the season, got off to a great start to 2026, allowing one run and striking out eight in his lone win, against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/washington-nationals\/244\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/mlb\/team-page\/washington-nationals\/244\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Nationals<\/a> on March 31.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">But he\u2019s struggled mightily since.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He\u2019s now allowed 14 home runs in 14 starts.
