{"id":746912,"date":"2026-06-19T08:43:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T08:43:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/746912\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T08:43:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T08:43:20","slug":"colts-cb-sauce-gardner-says-he-is-24-not-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/746912\/","title":{"rendered":"Colts CB Sauce Gardner says he is 24, not 25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner corrected his birth year on Thursday, saying he was born in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Every site from Pro Football Reference to ESPN to TheAthletic.com lists Gardner\u2019s birthday incorrectly as Aug. 31, 2000, which would make him 25 years old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7367046\/2026\/06\/18\/sauce-gardner-colts-age-birthdate-mystery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">I\u2019m 24<\/a>,\u201d Gardner said, via James Boyd of TheAthletic.com. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy that I\u2019m even being asked this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gardner\u2019s age is even incorrect in EA Sports Madden NFL.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s wrong in Madden, too?\u201d Gardner said. \u201cThat\u2019s crazy because I never checked. Because when it comes to the paperwork and everything I\u2019ve signed, it all says \u201901.
