The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team has confirmed that Third Driver American Jak Crawford (pictured) will participate in Free Practice 1 at the Austrian Grand Prix next weekend, driving Lance Stroll\u2019s AMR26 at the Red Bull Ring.<\/p>\n

The session will mark Jak\u2019s fourth FP1 appearance for the team and his second of the 2026 season. It also represents the second of the team\u2019s four mandated rookie practice sessions this year.<\/p>\n

Fresh from completing a Pirelli tire test with the team in Barcelona earlier this week, Jak will return to the cockpit in Austria, a circuit he knows well through previous testing programmes and his FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 campaigns, where he claimed victories in both categories.<\/p>\n

The outing also comes two years after Jak\u2019s first experience in an Aston Martin Aramco Formula One<\/a> car, when he tested the AMR22 at the Red Bull Ring in June 2024. Since then, the American has become an integral part of the team\u2019s driver development programme and has accumulated more than 3,800 kilometres in Formula One machinery, placing him as one of the most experienced young drivers outside the current Formula One grid.<\/p>\n
