Surrey Police Service investigate 911 threat at SMH<\/p>\n

The Surrey Police Service is investigating threats lodged at about 1:35 p.m. Thursday at Surrey Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can tell you that at about 1:30 this afternoon we had a male call 911, some threats concerning a Fraser Health facility,\u201d Sergeant Ali Gailus said. \u201cSo members are on scene, working with staff to ensure the safety of everyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re just doing checks inside and outside of the facility out of an abundance of caution but at this time there\u2019s no evidence of anything significant,\u201d she said shortly after 3 p.m. \u201cIt should be a matter of time very shortly that code black would be lifted.\u201d<\/p>\n
Code black typically refers to a bomb threat at a hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt looks like it will be resolved here shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gailus said she didn\u2019t know if the caller was an adult.<\/p>\n
