Welcome to another Made in Manitoba<\/a>, and tonight we welcome an artist for the first time in over five years. Hayley Gene Penner<\/a> returns tonight, coming off a Juno nomination this Spring for Songwriter of the Year Non-Performer.<\/p>\n

That’s a pretty big life event, but even bigger was Hayley and her partner welcoming their first child, Maggie Lou, a little over five months ago. While Hayley was pregnant, she was inspired to write an EP about her soon to arrive daughter, calling it Clumps.\u00a0 We’re excited to share all four songs, and also have Hayley tell us how becoming a mom and having a daughter has influenced her creativity and led to changes in her perspective on priorities.<\/p>\n

Hayley is from Winnipeg originally, but now calls Los Angeles home, where she song writes for some of the most popular artists in the world including Teddy Swims and Lily Allen.<\/p>\n

Hayley Gene Penner<\/a> returns to Made in Manitoba with new music from the album Clumps, and a lot of catching up to do since her last appearance over five years ago.<\/p>\n

And if you miss it in the program, Hayley has written her first post-pregnancy song and expects to release that relatively soon.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
