{"id":749726,"date":"2026-06-20T15:33:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T15:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/749726\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T15:33:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T15:33:08","slug":"montreal-north-fire-2-kids-injured-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/749726\/","title":{"rendered":"Montreal North fire: 2 kids injured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Updated:\u00a0June 20, 2026 at 10:17AM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Published:\u00a0June 19, 2026 at 5:25PM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A nine-year-old boy, one of two children hospitalized with serious burns following a fire at a residential building in the borough of Montreal North, remains in critical condition, a Montreal police spokesperson confirmed Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Two children \u2014 a nine-year-old and a 13-year-old boy \u2014 were taken to the hospital on Friday after they were seriously injured in a fire at a residential building in Montreal North.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say they have no updates on the other child who was sent to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The fire started at around 4 p.m. in a three-storey building near the corner of Henri-Bourassa Boulevard and Narcisses Street, according to a spokesperson for the Montreal fire department. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The fire was later extinguished, and residents of neighbouring units have been allowed back inside. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Montreal police service is taking over the investigation due to the victims\u2019 serious injuries.
