And here we are\u2026 the final day of classes is tomorrow, and our 2025-26 school year is drawing to a close. \u00a0All students are reminded that our classes are in session until the final bell on Friday afternoon. \u00a0The hallways should be clear, classrooms focussed, and the tone and culture of our building positive and productive. \u00a0Thank you to all Panthers for your cooperation, commitment and dedication to your learning and to our school community. \u00a0We are very proud of you and all you have accomplished this year. \u00a0 Congratulations to all students and staff for all you have contributed to our school. \u00a0It is through our work together that we have been able to create our caring community of excellence and the very special Panther Pride that we know and love. \u00a0Well done Panthers!<\/p>\n

On Monday, I met with our Staff Committee to review room allocation processes for next year and to discuss the status of our school campus\/facilities going into the summer. \u00a0I would like to thank Mr. Welch for his leadership on Staff Committee and all of this year\u2019s Staff Committee members. \u00a0Your input and discussion was very helpful and helped guide us forward throughout the year. \u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to our Technology students on your many successes and on your amazing projects. \u00a0Our display case is a wonderful example of the talents of our students and the incredible opportunities for learning provided to our students at LTSS. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Congratulations are also in order for our Senior Leadership students. Three of our students, Kiefer, Ava and Harneet, were recently invited to make a presentation to the School District\u2019s Board of Trustees and senior district management as members of our Student Voice committee. \u00a0They talked about the impact of the Compassionate Systems Leadership workshop they attended in November, and the work that they have been doing since then to build anti-racism strategies in our school.<\/p>\n

Tuesday was a big day for our school with the distribution of this year\u2019s School Yearbook. \u00a0Congratulations to Mr. Tam and his student team for your countless hours of work and dedication required to bring this year\u2019s version to life! \u00a0It is a beautiful compendium of memories for our students and staff. \u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday evening, I was able to attend our Year-end Music Concert. \u00a0As always, our students were so impressive, showcasing their talent and dedication in front of a large audience of family and friends. \u00a0Great thanks to Music Director Mr. De La Pena for your unwavering commitment to your students and our school\u2019s Music program. \u00a0Congratulations Panthers!<\/p>\n

Today, is our year-end locker clear-out. \u00a0Students will be clearing and cleaning their lockers and returning their locks to their teachers. \u00a0We appreciate our students\u2019 attention to this important project. \u00a0It is crucial that the lockers are clean and clear for the summer. \u00a0Thank you everyone.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, Friday, June 19th is our final day of classes for the school year. \u00a0We are planning a day that is focussed and positive with students in class and respectful of our school\u2019s expectations for attendance and behavior. \u00a0 Finish strong Panthers and be proud of all you have accomplished this year and the amazing success stories that have made the 25\/26 school year so special. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Note: All students and parents\/guardians are reminded that on June 22-25th, our school will be open for student support. \u00a0 Teachers are available to provide additional tutorial help and students have the option of using these \u201cCompletion Days\u201d to catch up on missing assignments\/assessments. \u00a0This week, students should arrange an appointment time with your teachers if you need this additional support. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Students in our Graduating class of 2026 are reminded that we will be holding our Commencement Ceremony Rehearsal on Monday at 10:30am in our Large Gym. \u00a0All students participating in the Commencement Ceremony are required to attend. \u00a0 This is an important opportunity to pick up your Graduation gown, learn about the Commencement \u201cWalk the Stage\u201d processes and receive instructions for the evening. \u00a0Please be on time and ready to learn about this very special event. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Note: Graduates and families are reminded that Commencement is on Wednesday, June 24th at 7:00pm at the Bell Centre for the Performing Arts located at Sullivan Heights Secondary school. \u00a0<\/p>\n

I wish all students a safe weekend and a wonderful summer. \u00a0Enjoy your time with family and friends, new adventures, new challenges and the chance to rest and recharge. \u00a0<\/p>\n

On a personal note, this will be my final newsletter and message to our Lord Tweedsmuir general community; retirement is just around the corner. \u00a0It has been an honour to help guide and support our caring community of excellence over the past three years. \u00a0 Every day, our LTSS students and staff have inspired me with their talents, dedication and community spirit. \u00a0I have been so fortunate to be able to return to Lord Tweedsmuir and finish my career as a Panther and as a member of this family. \u00a0Thank you everyone. \u00a0I wish all students happiness and success in the years ahead and know that Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary will continue to be a vital part of the Cloverdale community. \u00a0 \u201cGo Panthers!\u201d<\/p>\n

Traffic and Student Parking<\/p>\n

All Panthers are reminded that traffic around the school and parking on school property will be very busy with our increased enrollment and Extended Day schedule. \u00a0All student drivers are reminded that it is very important to drive with care and attention while on or near school property. \u00a0Safety is our first priority. \u00a0Please drive safely and responsibly, be aware of pedestrians, and follow all traffic regulations.<\/p>\n

If possible, all families are asked to consider alternative transportation options. \u00a0Please walk or bike to school if possible. \u00a0It would also be helpful if students are dropped off a couple of blocks away from the school and vehicles do not enter our school\u2019s parking lot. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Note: \u00a0For the safety and privacy of our students, please avoid using the Elements Casino entrance as a designated drop-off\/pick-up location. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Students are only permitted to park in the Student Lot on the right side of our parking lot near our Portable classrooms. \u00a0Students are not permitted to park in the Staff Lot.<\/p>\n

All students wishing to park on school property must apply for a Parking pass. \u00a0Application forms may be picked up at the office. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Parking passes must be displayed on your car\u2019s windshield at all times while on school property. \u00a0Parking privileges will be revoked for any students not following our parking regulations or for unsafe driving.<\/p>\n
