Jack Osbourne<\/a> is defending his decision to attend the UFC Freedom 250<\/a> event.<\/p>\n In honor of Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s 80th birthday last weekend, UFC hosted an event on the South Lawn of the White House.<\/p>\n Jack, 40, and wife Aree Gearhart were among the stars that attended the event<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a new video to posted to YouTube<\/a>, Jack fired back at backlash he\u2019s received for attending Trump\u2018s event.<\/p>\n \u201cI went to a sporting event. That\u2019s it,\u201d he clarified. \u201cI didn\u2019t go and throw my hat in the ring for political office. I wasn\u2019t there going to endorse a politician or some kind of, you know, foreign affairs issue. Nothing. I literally went to the White House to go see UFC.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack went on to explain that he\u2019s been interested in combat sports his entire life, including doing taekwondo at 6 years old, studying Muay Thai in Thailand in his late teens and early 20s and doing jiu-jitsu in his 30s. <\/p>\n \u201cI have also attended UFC and PRIDE fights going back to the early 2000s,\u201d he noted. \u201cIt is something that has been a part of my life since I can remember.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Jack said when he was invited to the event by Dana White, the President and CEO of UFC, \u201cof course I would go. Any person out there who would get an invite would have gone. I\u2019m sorry, there\u2019s no one I could think of that would have been like, \u2018No, I\u2019m not going to that \u2018cause I don\u2019t approve of Orange Man\u2019 or whatever the f\u2013k.\u201d<\/p>\n He called the backlash \u201cridiculous,\u201d stressing it was \u201cnot a political event \u2014 or in my eyes it was not. It was a f\u2013king fight at the White House. Who gives a s\u2013t?\u201d<\/p>\n Jack then took aim at critics saying his late dad Ozzy Osbourne would be disappointed in him for attending the event.<\/p>\n \u201cYou did not know my father. You did not know where he stood with things,\u201d Jack said. \u201cYes, he wrote a song called \u2018War Pigs,\u2019 sure. Anti-war song. He wasn\u2019t anti-UFC. He wasn\u2019t anti-going to an event at the White House. He was anti-war.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack also pointed out that Ozzy attended a White House Correspondents Dinner during the Bush administration and shared a video of the late Black Sabbath excitedly jumping up and down when he got a shoutout from former President George W. Bush.<\/p>\n He also noted that his dad did USO tours and went to visit wounded service members at Walter Reed Medical Center.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, shut the f\u2013k up, basically,\u201d Jack concluded. \u201cTo bring my father into this to say he would or wouldn\u2019t\u2019ve approve is completely insane.
