That wasn\u2019t enough to get the Eagles to take his number out of circulation for a year. <\/p>\n<p>Or even for a month.<\/p>\n<p>Via Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP, Eagles linebacker Jihaad Campbell <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliotShorrParks\/status\/2068356015725150393\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">will change his number from 30 to 11<\/a>, now that Brown is gone.<\/p>\n<p>Campbell, a first-round pick in 2025, wore No. 11 at Alabama.<\/p>\n<p>The adjustment does not yet appear on the team\u2019s official online roster. There, Campbell <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.philadelphiaeagles.com\/team\/players-roster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">remains No. 30<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brown wore No. 11 in Tennessee and in Philadelphia. He prefers the number he now has in New England: No. 1.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, there apparently will be a No. 11 when the Eagles play this season, even though the best player to ever wear that number for the Eagles (with apologies to Carson Wentz, Norm Van Brocklin, Ty Detmer, and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/uniform.cgi?number=11&amp;team=phi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Eggs Manske<\/a>) is no longer there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A.J.
