{"id":752071,"date":"2026-06-21T18:37:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T18:37:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/752071\/"},"modified":"2026-06-21T18:37:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T18:37:09","slug":"report-jordan-goodwin-to-sign-three-year-19m-deal-with-suns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/752071\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Jordan Goodwin to sign three-year, $19M deal with Suns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/phoenix-suns\/\" class=\"sn-team-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-team=\"phoenix-suns\" data-league=\"nba\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Phoenix Suns<\/a> are getting some off-season business done early. <\/p>\n<p>Free agent guard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/basketball\/nba\/players\/jordan-goodwin\/0b9bab33-66c3-4e01-b91e-df6b8c40ea2b\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"0b9bab33-66c3-4e01-b91e-df6b8c40ea2b\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jordan Goodwin<\/a> is set to sign a three-year, $19 million deal with the Suns, ESPN&#8217;s Shams Charania <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/2068725866218037267?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">reported<\/a> Sunday. <\/p>\n<p>According to Charania, the deal includes a player option in the third season. <\/p>\n<p>Goodwin joined the Suns last summer after being claimed on waivers from the Los Angeles Lakers. He made the roster through training camp and went on to play a major role off Phoenix&#8217;s bench.<\/p>\n<p>Over 70 games, the 27-year-old averaged a career-best 8.7 points along with 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals while playing 22.5 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>A native of Centreville, Ill., Goodwin signed with the Washington Wizards as an undrafted free agent in 2021 after four years with the Saint Louis Billikens in the NCAA. <\/p>\n<p>In 220 games, split between the Wizards, Suns, Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, Goodwin has averaged seven points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists. <\/p>\n<p>This marks the second signing of the off-season for the Suns, who are also set to re-sign guard Collin Gillespie to a four-year, $48 million deal. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Phoenix Suns are getting some off-season business done early.
