August 16, 2025-Emporia State brings back four midfielders with starting experience from last season. \u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nMikhaela Goen<\/a> is in her third season at Emporia State. She has started 13 of 20 matches in her career and scored her first goal at Neb.-Kearney last year.
\n\u00a0
\nMadeline Bracy<\/a> is in her second year with the Hornets. \u00a0She started 15 of 17 matches as a true freshman and scored her first goal in a win over Missouri Southern.
\n\u00a0
\nHailey Gancarz<\/a> is in her second season with Emporia State.\u00a0 She played in 17 matches with four starts last year and scored a goal against Rogers State.
\n\u00a0
\nMegan Jeremias<\/a> is in her second season with the Hornets after transferring from Murray State. She played in 16 matches and had two starts last season. She scored three goals last season.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Hornets will begin exhibition play on Sunday, August 17 with a friendly at Butler CC.\u00a0 Kick-off is set for 7:30 pm in El Dorado, Kan.\u00a0 The regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 4 at Drury in Springfield, Mo.

\nThere is one senior, one junior, four sophomores and three freshmen among the midfielders.
\nSix of the nine defenders started their careers at Emporia State.
\nTwo defenders are from Missouri, two are from Texas, with one each from Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Canada and England.
