{"id":754522,"date":"2026-06-22T22:40:22","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T22:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/754522\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T22:40:22","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T22:40:22","slug":"brampton-man-dies-after-water-incident-at-gravenhurst-cliffs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/754522\/","title":{"rendered":"Brampton man dies after water incident at Gravenhurst cliffs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A 28-year-old Brampton man has died following a water incident at a popular Gravenhurst waterfront area over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews were called to the Gravenhurst Wharf on Steamship Bay Road at about 5:50 p.m. on June 21 after reports of a possible drowning near the Ungerman Park cliffs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Investigators say a group of people had been at the cliff area when the man entered the water and failed to resurface.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He was pulled from the water by nearby boaters who brought him to the Muskoka Wharf.
