While sales have increased, prices are generally much lower than the peak highs of 2022.<\/p>\n
The average home sale price in Brampton crept up slightly to $889,407 in May from $885,936 April, but still way down from $951,337 in May of 2025, according to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board.<\/p>\n
Sales across all property types were up 12 per cent<\/a> in Brampton last month, with more than 450 transactions.<\/p>\n Many homeowners who purchased property in 2022 are taking a loss if they need to sell now.<\/p>\n A Brampton home sold at a $520,000 loss in May<\/a>. In October, a home purchased for $1.6 million\u00a0sold for a 45 per cent loss<\/a>\u00a0in Brampton.<\/p>\n The latest example is a three-bedroom home at 54 Upper Highlands Dr. in Heart Lake East.<\/p>\n This home was purchased for $1,310,000 in February 2022, according to online real estate records.
