The Norwegian team is aiming for a top-five finish with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/tobias-halland-johannessen\" title=\"Tobias Halland Johannessen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tobias Halland Johannessen<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/cycling\/sixth-in-2025-johannessen-heads-to-the-tour-de-france-in-even-better-form-of-course-thats-the-dream\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">who placed sixth last year. <\/a>In addition, Soren Waerenskjold has been designated as the sprinter, and the team also has several riders who can aim for success through breakaways.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The goal is to repeat what we did in 2025. And that might be even harder this year than last year, because we\u2019ve now said it out loud. A spot in the top five with Tobias is the goal, and that\u2019s the team\u2019s main ambition,\u201d team manager Gabriel Rasch says bluntly.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Last year, we started as underdogs and our goal was the overall classification. This year, there\u2019s more pressure from the start, and expectations are higher,&#8221; says Rasch, who emphasizes that putting together a roster was no easy task.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The hardest part is that we have riders who deserve to race and who have prepared well. Tobias Halland Johannessen is, of course, named the team leader for the general classification.<\/p>\n<p>Magnus Cort, a stage winner at the Tour in 2018 and 2022, is free to do his thing in sprints with smaller groups and is considered a \u201cstage hunter.\u201d The same goes for Jonas Abrahamsen, last year\u2019s stage winner. He is also seen as a \u201cpillar of support\u201d for Johannessen and Waerenskjold, the team\u2019s sprinter.<\/p>\n<p>Anders Skaarseth is the team leader for this stage, while Anthon Charmig\u2014winner of the first stage in Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes\u2014and Andreas Kron will also have the opportunity to seek success through breakaways in addition to providing support.
