Bryson DeChambeau has hit back at the PGA Tour after being denied an invite to compete in next month’s Procore Championship, which takes place two weeks before the 2025 Ryder Cup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley<\/a> has urged as many of his team members as possible to compete in tournaments in the lead up to the biennial dust-up with Luke Donald’s European side at Bethpage in New York from 26-28 September.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Procore Championship, formerly the Fortinet Championship, marks the start of the FedEx Cup Fall Series from 11-14 September.<\/p>\n

Bradley would like to see as many of his team lining up in the Napa event on the PGA Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler<\/a> has already followed the reques<\/a>t from Bradley, and other players are expected to follow suit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite remaining a PGA Tour member, DeChambeau<\/a> is still suspended by the circuit as a result of his ties to LIV Golf<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All PGA Tour members on LIV Golf remain suspended until further notice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The current notice is access denied<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

DeChambeau would like to play in the tournament and has been given the green light by those on the Saudi-bankrolled league since their season concludes next week, but it’s unfortunately not possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s up to the [PGA] Tour and their decision to make,” DeChambeau told Sports Illustrated<\/a> after opening with a 4-under 67 at LIV Golf Indianapolis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s on them if they don\u2019t let us become together as a team and play.”<\/p>\n

DeChambeau added: “That just shows you\u2026 yeah, I\u2019m not gonna say that, yeah, it’s a scenario that’s unfortunate, and I wish it was different, but LIV’s willing to let me play.”<\/p>\n

The two-time US Open champion would need a sponsor’s invite in order to play in the tournament, and SI confirms that would not be an issue with Procore.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the PGA Tour is holding firm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A spokesperson from the PGA Tour told SI “Bryson DeChambeau is not eligible for PGA Tour competition.”<\/p>\n

DeChambeau’s agent Brett Falkoff told the publication that he “plans to participate in every team gathering that he’s permitted to attend.”<\/p>\n

While captain Bradley understands the PGA Tour’s protocols, he is slightly irritated<\/a> by the decision to snub DeChambeau a sponsor invite.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I thought that the Ryder Cup sort of transcends all of this, and really, the last thing on my mind is the PGA Tour-LIV stuff,” Bradley told SI.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of the biggest issues for Bradley is that the US Ryder Cup team is run by the PGA of America, and not the PGA Tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

DeChambeau, who is playing at LIV Golf Indianapolis before the Team Championship next week, is currently in the automatic spots to receive a place on Bradley’s team.<\/p>\n

But he could fall out of the automatic top six depending on results at this week’s BMW Championship and next week’s Tour Championship, which is when automatic qualification ends.\u00a0<\/p>\n
