With heavy-usage players like Scottie Barnes, Brandon Ingram, and RJ Barrett already on the roster, Graves provides the Raptors with an off-ball wing that analytics fans love.

While Graves doesn’t turn 20 until July 28, the Santa Clara Bronco has an IQ and motor that should carry him through expected rough patches in his rookie season.

Graves averaged 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals while shooting 41.3 per cent from deep. That efficiency came shooting 2.6 threes per game, making 1.1 of them. The forward started 4 games while playing in all 35 of Santa Clara’s games. The Broncos made it to the NCAA tournament as a 10th seed, and ended up bounced in the first round by Kentucky. Graves led the team in rebounding while scoring the third most points.

Adding a dynamic forward to the roster shows the Raptors’ willingness to continue to rely on high-processing options off the bench, as well as to reject convention about relying on guards to space the floor. As Dan Tolzman suggested, the Raptors could rely on free agency to better build up their stock of centres.

The Toronto Raptors select Allen Graves with the No.19 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
