{"id":75824,"date":"2025-08-17T07:08:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-17T07:08:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/75824\/"},"modified":"2025-08-17T07:08:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-17T07:08:09","slug":"pickering-shooting-sends-2-to-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/75824\/","title":{"rendered":"Pickering shooting sends 2 to hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Updated:\u00a0August 16, 2025 at 4:09PM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Published:\u00a0August 16, 2025 at 2:16PM EDT<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police are investigating a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.drps.ca\/news\/police-looking-for-suspects-after-a-shooting-in-pickering\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.drps.ca\/news\/police-looking-for-suspects-after-a-shooting-in-pickering\/\">shooting in Pickering<\/a> that left two people seriously injured early Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Durham Regional Police said a call came around 1:10 a.m. for reports of shots fired in a parking lot near <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/5yYLomkMdt1qRiGi7\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/5yYLomkMdt1qRiGi7\">Liverpool and Kingston roads.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When officers arrived, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where they are in stable condition, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators are looking for one suspect who fled in a dark-coloured sedan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He is described as a brown male, six feet tall, with a light complexion and medium to heavy build.
