The Montreal Alouettes have brought back American defensive back Faion Hicks, the team announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old attended training camp with the team in Quebec City but was let go prior to the start of the regular-season.<\/p>\n

The five-foot-ten, 192-pound defender was a seventh-round pick of the Denver Broncos in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played two regular-season games with the team and recorded two total tackles, though he was released at the conclusion of training camp in 2023.<\/p>\n

The native of Pembroke Pines, Fla. has been a member of the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, and Seattle Seahawks since leaving the Broncos but didn\u2019t see any regular-season action with any of those teams. He also signed with the Birmingham Stallions in 2025.<\/p>\n

Hicks played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin where he made 107 total tackles, 16 pass knockdown, and one interception over 39 collegiate games.<\/p>\n

The Montreal Alouettes (2-1) will host the Ottawa Redblacks (0-2) at Percival Molson Stadium on Sunday, June 28 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Redblacks lost 44-24 to the Toronto Argonauts last week, while the Alouettes lost to the Edmonton Elks in overtime.<\/p>\n

The weather forecast calls for a high of 28 degrees with a mix of sun and cloud. The game will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada, CBS Sports Network in the United States, and CFL+ internationally.
