I HATE SHOPPING in person. There is no weekend activity that I dread more than having to go from store to store collecting bags, even when it\u2019s the essentials. I\u2019d much rather be hitting reps at the gym<\/a>, running miles on the trail<\/a>, doing laps in the pool<\/a>, rolling on the BJJ mat, or anywhere else for that matter. For the most part, I know what I want before I buy it, either from previous experiences or by getting advice from someone whose opinion I respect.<\/p>\n

That is one of the reasons that I have come to rely on doing a lot of online shopping. It allows me the opportunity to pull the trigger on gear that I\u2019ve been looking forward to trying out or needed to upgrade from previous models. There are some serious sales being dropped during Amazon\u2019s Prime Day<\/a> this year. I figured I’d share a few of my favorite picks for those who are looking to upgrade their home setups.<\/p>\n

SHOP ALL AMAZON FITNESS PRIME DAY DEALS<\/a><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a list of gear that I\u2019ve tested, was impressed by, and recommend to anyone looking to level up their fitness game or preparing for marathon season. These aren’t unknown brands we are talking about here. These are serious offerings from tested and trusted brands like Bowflex, Oura Ring<\/a>, Shokz<\/a>, CAP Barbell, and more. Being an editor at Men\u2019s Health<\/a>, it\u2019s my job to know about the latest and greatest offerings, so I\u2019ll be updating this list until Prime Day ends on June 26.<\/p>\n

This weighted vest<\/a> has really helped me escalate my bodyweight workouts. I’ve had this piece for years, and it gets used no matter the season. This vest is much more comfortable than other options than I’ve tried in the past.<\/p>\n

During the winter, bundled up and wearing my Wolf Tactical, I can make a lot out of a little amount of time. The design helps me stay cool during the summer months.<\/p>\n

I’ve been working out with these adjustable dumbbells<\/a> since they first released, and there is no denying they are a huge improvement on past versions. The price point was reasonable before the sale, which is the reason they made our best dumbbells<\/a> list.<\/p>\n

\"Hex<\/a><\/p>\n

Sometimes simpler is better, and it doesn’t get much better than this compact set of hex dumbbells from CAP Barbell. These dumbbells have all the features that I look for: knurled handles for grip, rubber ends so that you can place them on the ground without damaging your floor, and a hex design so they don’t roll away when you do.<\/p>\n

Being a Fitness and Reviews Editor at Men’s Health, it should come as no surprise that I’ve had a lot of pairs of dumbbells<\/a> over the years. I especially like these, and bonus points for the convenient little rack they come with to keep them organized.<\/p>\n

I’ve never liked too much on my wrists, so in the past I haven’t had much success sticking with a fitness tracker. I would wear a heart rate strap on more intense cardio sessions but that’s about it. That changed when Oura Ring<\/a> hit the scene, which I wrote about here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I like keeping track of my biomarkers, and being able to switch fingers keeps me from feeling too constrained. The data I collect from their app helps inform the training decisions I make throughout the week. I wrote about how this deal is the best one I\u2019ve seen all Prime Day, and I stand by that. The rings are already starting to sell out.<\/p>\n

Long gone are the days of the rusty old metal scales. Now smart scales offer many more insights into our overall health, and have a large number of useful applications from body recomposition<\/a> tracking to weekly tracking.<\/p>\n

Unless you have regular access to a dexascan, the smart scale can be a very useful tool, and this one from Renpho<\/a> brings all of the features we mentioned above and more. Getting a nice piece of tech like this during sales events like Prime Day is always a good call.<\/p>\n

\"OpenRun<\/a><\/p>\n

There’s nothing I like better than working out outdoors, getting some endorphins and a little natural vitamin D. That includes running and bicycling on the road for hours, even if it’s a bit crisp outside. You might have read our recent story<\/a> about open-ear headphones, in which these headphones were featured.<\/p>\n

No matter whether you live in the city or in the suburbs, it’s dangerous to be on the street with noise-canceling headphones stunting your awareness. I like these Shokz OpenRun Pro 2s<\/a> because I can keep listening to my training playlist while hitting the pavement.<\/p>\n

This is a great bench to pair with the Bowflex dumbbells, if you decide to pick those up, or whatever weights you have at home. This is a great piece of gear to really increase the amount of exercises you can do at home.<\/p>\n

There are a lot of weight benches<\/a> that out there, but many of them are pretty flimsy. Not the case with this Flybird bench, which is also pretty comfortable for those long training days when you’re hitting chest.<\/p>\n

\"Olympic<\/a><\/p>\n

EZ bars are a great way to mix up your arm workouts. I have this one at home, which I picked up off of Amazon years ago and it still gets the job done. Sure, there are more expensive bars out there, that are a little more refined, but for me this one all I need.<\/p>\n

The benefits to having an EZ bar? Getting to change up the grips on your curls, getting a more full workout of the bicep. I wrote about the benefits to your wrists in this story that I did about Hugh Jackman’s training routine<\/a> for Deadpool 3. Yes, that’s right, Wolverine uses an EZ bar too.<\/p>\n

\"Wayfinder<\/a><\/p>\n

I was on a cycling cardio kick until recently, when we were lucky enough to welcome our daughter Rose into the family. She recently turned a year old, and was cleared by our doctor to join me on a run in a jogging stroller.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re training for anything from a 5K to a marathon, this is a great way to hit your mileage while spending time with your little one. That\u2019s what I\u2019ve been doing, and I find that the solo miles feel easy when you\u2019re not pushing a toddler!<\/p>\n

There is nothing I look forward to more than buckling her up in the Bob and going for a jog on the track or on some local trails. The Wayfinder<\/a> lives up to its name, keeping the ride smooth no matter what terrain we are on.<\/p>\n
