(Photo submitted)<\/p>\n<p>Brian Lowry has been awarded the Town of Greater Napanee\u2019s 2026 Senior of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Arelease from the town states that Lowry has been a part of the Napanee community as an elementary school teacher guiding young students not only in academics but in character and confidence. <\/p>\n<p>He is the owner and chief instructor at the Napanee Karate Club, and has done so for over 35 years. <\/p>\n<p>At 82 years old, Lowry continues to teach karate four nights a week.<\/p>\n<p>The town recognized Lowry for \u201cexemplifying an extraordinary commitment to lifelong service and community involvement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can read the full nomination at the Town of Napanee\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greaternapanee.com\/live\/senior-services\/senior-of-the-year-award\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13; Brian Lowry presented with Town of Napanee&#8217;s 2026 Senior of the Year by Mayor Terry Richardson.
