An annual competition at Moreton Hall Health Club has been hailed as a \u2018true celebration of local fitness\u2019.<\/p>\n
Bury\u2019s Fittest saw 150 athletes take part in the event at the health club in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Athletes from the health club and other gyms competed in 10 challenges, including a sled push, barrel carries and tyre flips.<\/p>\n

Lucy Carter, gym manager at Moreton Hall Health Club, said: \u201cMany of our members spent months training for the event, becoming fitter, stronger and more confident along the way.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust as importantly, they built friendships and supported one another throughout their journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were delighted to welcome athletes from gyms and fitness communities across the area, making Bury\u2019s Fittest a true celebration of local fitness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe camaraderie, encouragement and sportsmanship shown between competitors, regardless of where they trained, was fantastic to see and is a big part of what makes the event so special,\u201d said Lucy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe atmosphere throughout the day was electric, with athletes, spectators, families and local businesses all coming together to create something truly special.<\/p>\n
This year, the club introduced the winners\u2019 trophy and a team award for Best Dressed Vibe, something Lucy said made the day \u2018even more inclusive and enjoyable\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur core values are community, pride, results and fun and Bury\u2019s Fittest was the perfect example of all four in action. The effort, determination and support shown by everyone involved was inspiring to see,\u201d said Lucy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re already looking forward to making next year\u2019s event even bigger and better,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
