From clean water initiatives to education and empowerment programs, the partnership highlights how the rhythms of the game can inspire rhythms of change far beyond the field.<\/p>\n<p>WINNIPEG \u2014 The Edmonton Elks survived a furious Winnipeg comeback to earn a 23-18 victory over the Blue Bombers on Thursday night at Princess Auto Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Edmonton built a 17-point first-half lead before Winnipeg stormed back to briefly take the lead in the fourth quarter. Winnipeg eventually erased the deficit and even took an 18-17 lead in the fourth quarter, but the cushion Edmonton built early allowed the offence one final opportunity to respond with the game-winning drive.<\/p>\n<p>7.1 \u2013 YARDS PER ATTEMPT FOR JUSTIN RANKIN<\/p>\n<p>Justin Rankin continues to be one of the CFL\u2019s most productive running backs.<\/p>\n<p>The league\u2019s rushing leader averaged 7.1 yards per carry, helping Edmonton control the line of scrimmage throughout the first half. His success on the ground also kept Winnipeg\u2019s defence honest, creating favourable looks for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/cody-fajardo\/160140\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Cody Fajardo\">Cody Fajardo<\/a> and the passing game as the Elks moved the ball consistently.<\/p>\n<p>3 \u2013 SACKS BY EDMONTON<\/p>\n<p>Edmonton\u2019s defence made life difficult for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/zach-collaros\/155276\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Zach Collaros\">Zach Collaros<\/a> throughout the night.<\/p>\n<p>Joel Dublanko, Noah Taylor and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/jordan-williams\/167390\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-ga-category=\"Clicks - Article\" data-ga-action=\"article-player-link\" data-ga-opt-label=\"Jordan Williams\">Jordan Williams<\/a> each recorded a sack, with the final one helping disrupt Winnipeg\u2019s last-gasp drive.
