Ur\u0161ka \u017digart is leading the Tour de Romandie F\u00e9minin\u2014potentially one of the biggest results of her career\u2014and she has support from the men\u2019s world champion, her partner Tadej Poga\u010dar.<\/p>\n

Poga\u010dar now prefers to train incognito\u2014sometimes in his UAE Emirates kit, sometimes in plain gear\u2014after fans occasionally attempt risky stunts to get photos. He recently admitted he sometimes wishes he weren\u2019t so well known. The race began with some drama as the UCI disqualified five teams. Originally it seemed that her AG Insurance\u2013Soudal Team might not start, but thankfully they did.<\/p>\n Poga\u010dar on Dauphin\u00e9 win: \u2018I had to hurry to see the finish of Ur\u0161ka\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Of course, what Poga\u010dar is doing is exactly what \u017digart has done. She\u2019s been spotted at many of his races. The 2024 Worlds were memorable, with Poga\u010dar running across the pavement, clip-clopping in his cleats to kiss her. She\u2019s also been at several stages of the Giro and Tour. Without Tadej, I would have had much less experience, advice, and opportunity,\u201d \u017digart, who lives with Poga\u010dar in Monaco, told CyclingupToDate<\/a>. \u201cI think I\u2019m better off anyway. Tadej often thinks I sacrifice much more for our lives than he does, but that\u2019s not true. Sometimes, when I ride behind him during training, I suffer more, or I spend less time in the shower so I can cook earlier\u2014but these are small things that aren\u2019t a problem for me.
