(WBTV) &#8211; A television icon is the latest star to become part owner of a NASCAR team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Guy Fieri recently joined Legacy Motor Club as a \u201cstrategic owner,\u201d the team <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/legacymotorclub\/guy-fieri-announcement?e=8ead625cc8\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/legacymotorclub\/guy-fieri-announcement?e=8ead625cc8\">announced<\/a> on Thursday, June 25.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fieri is of course known for his Food Network programs, including the popular show \u201cDiner, Drive-Ins and Dives.\u201d He is joining a NASCAR team steeped in history with seven-time champions Jimmie Johnson and Richard Petty already partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cMotorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love &#8212; the people, the passion, the culture, the speed,\u201d Fieri said in a news release. \u201cLegacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it. This is about more than racing &#8212; it\u2019s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Legacy Motor Club said Fieri\u2019s involvement with the team would include plans for collaborative content, fan engagement initiatives, and merchandise that combines racing, food and lifestyle culture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cGuy has built an incredible brand by being authentic and connecting with people in a real way,\u201d Johnson said in the news release. \u201cThat\u2019s at the heart of what we\u2019re building here. We want Legacy to reach far beyond race day, and Guy\u2019s creativity, energy, and perspective are exactly what this ownership group is about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The team announced back in March that country singer and South Carolina native Darius Rucker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/03\/26\/country-music-singer-joins-nascar-race-team-co-owner\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/2026\/03\/26\/country-music-singer-joins-nascar-race-team-co-owner\/\">joined<\/a> Legacy\u2019s ownership group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Legacy Motor Club fields two full-time entries in the elite Cup Series, with Erik Jones in the iconic No. 43, and John Hunter Nemechek in the No. 42.
