{"id":763020,"date":"2026-06-26T18:50:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T18:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/763020\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T18:50:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T18:50:10","slug":"watchos-27-beta-2-now-available-for-apple-watch-ultra-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/763020\/","title":{"rendered":"watchOS 27 beta 2 now available for Apple Watch Ultra 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article-lede\">Developers with an Apple Watch Ultra 3 can now install the second developer beta of <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/watchos-27\" title=\"watchOS 27\" data-kpt=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">watchOS 27<\/a>, which offers access to Siri AI and an improved Workout Buddy.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>On June 23, Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/26\/06\/23\/apple-rolls-out-watchos-27-beta-2-for-apple-watch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">deployed<\/a> watchOS 27 beta 2, making it available to all compatible models, with the exception of the <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/apple-watch-ultra-3\" title=\"Apple Watch Ultra 3\" data-kpt=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple Watch Ultra 3<\/a>. At the time, Apple&#8217;s newest and most expensive smartwatch was left unable to run the software.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, however, Apple finally addressed the issue, as the Apple Watch Ultra 3 can now finally be upgraded to the second developer beta of watchOS 27.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The beta software update can be installed via the <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/apple-watch\" title=\"Apple Watch\" data-kpt=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple Watch<\/a> app on a paired <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/iphone\" title=\"iPhone\" data-kpt=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone<\/a>. If you plan to install watchOS 27 on your Apple Watch Ultra 3, the device must be connected to Wi-Fi, on its charger, with a battery that&#8217;s at least 50% charged.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, watchOS 27 offers access to the long-awaited <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/siri\" title=\"Siri\" data-kpt=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Siri<\/a> AI, but it&#8217;s not a good idea for the average user to install Thursday&#8217;s developer beta.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>watchOS 27 is still early in the beta testing cycle, meaning there&#8217;s always a chance of encountering visual glitches, bugs, or features that don&#8217;t work like they&#8217;re supposed to. Installing the watchOS 27 beta is thus not advisable for mission-critical devices.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>For a typical Apple Watch user, the best option is to just wait a few months.
