Zayas has risen through the ranks of one of the most talent-stacked divisions in the sport with relative ease, collecting his first world title almost a year ago against Jorge Garcia Perez before showing immense ambition and unifying the WBA and WBO titles in his very next fight against former WBA champion Abass Baraou. <\/p>\n
The only drawback that Ennis might be hoping for is a lack of experience under the lights, but Zayas wants Ennis to lose focus. <\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like he thinks it\u2019s gonna be an easy night,\u201d Zayas told Chris Mannix at the final press conference. \u201cAnd let him think it. Saturday night, I will come out there, and I will do what I do at the highest level, like I always do. I will make the adjustments, like I always make ’em, and I will come out victorious. That\u2019s all that matters to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ennis ‘levels above’ Zayas<\/p>\n
Perhaps Ennis is underestimating his opponent, but that doesn’t matter much to him because he gives him respect as a champion. But he believes his levels are just too high for Zayas to contend with. <\/p>\n
“He is a solid fighter. He is a champion for a reason, but it\u2019s just levels, Ennis explained. “And I\u2019m gonna show [it] come Saturday night and show my skills and my ability. I cannot wait. I\u2019m trying to tell y\u2019all. I cannot wait.\u201d<\/p>\n
