Bam Margera put his parents, April and Phil Margera, and their house, through a lot over the years on \u201cJackass,\u201d like lighting off fireworks inside, setting an alligator loose in the kitchen, and sledding down the stairs through the front door.<\/p>\n
And even after all that, they\u2019re still proud to be part of the series.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been all fun. We\u2019ve all had a good time. They all had a great time, I\u2019m proud of all of them. They did such an amazing job. I can\u2019t believe it\u2019s all these years later, and we\u2019re still doing \u2018Jackass,\u2019 a show that I\u2019m thinking, \u2018How long is this gonna last?\u2019\u201d April told PauseRewind\u2019s Elizabeth Stanton at the \u201cJackass: Best and Last\u201d premiere Wednesday night<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Margera home was the site of many a prank on \u201cJackass,\u201d as well as the spin off series focused on them, titled \u201cViva La Bam.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe lived through \u2018Jackass.\u2019 We lived through \u2018Jackass: The Movie.\u2019 We lived through \u2018Viva La Bam,\u2019 which I don\u2019t know how we did that. I\u2019ve tried to explain things that are in our house, like trap doors and things, to people who come and fix our house. Like, \u2018What\u2019s wrong with your baseboards?\u2019 Oh that\u2019s from the ice skaters. It\u2019s hard to explain,\u201d April said with a laugh.<\/p>\n April and Phil have been more than good sports over the years, but there\u2019s one prank that still irks April in particular.<\/p>\n \u201cThe first time they did the jet ski, they did it in my pool. You didn\u2019t see that one. You saw the one that was done in the lap pool in Malibu. But the stones and the gas and the oil and what happened to my pool was a major main. Major pain!\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n The kicker? \u201cIt didn\u2019t even make the cut!\u201d<\/p>\n But they just can\u2019t stay mad at the \u201cJackass\u201d team.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is such a family, a family of people who truly care about each other. And I think they\u2019ve had a lot of fun. I mean, they\u2019ve had a lot of pain, a lot of injuries, a lot, a lot of, and they\u2019ve lived through it,\u201d April said. She also noted the guys have weathered the loss of Ryan Dunn, who died in 2011 in a drunk driving car crash. \u201cI think that\u2019s an emotional thing for them as well. He\u2019s part of the cast and always will be.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnny Knoxville and most of the \u201cJackass\u201d team have declared \u201cBest and Last\u201d as the final entry in the franchise, but not everybody is so certain.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can never say never, right?\u201d April said. \u201cI don\u2019t know. Looks like it. I think maybe they\u2019ll move on to other things and maybe they\u2019ll grow up a little bit, but I doubt it.\u201d<\/p>\n Phil added, \u201cWith that fan reaction we got when we came in, this isn\u2019t the last one. They want more.
